Don't forget the glyphosate. Yum.

Glyphosate pairs well with so many other chemicals. 🥂

What to say? All that sugar. All those toxins. And the oats and wheat and corn are GMO. I can't think of a single healthy thing about boxed cereal. Nutritionists must be getting paid to spout this nonsense. 🤮

Definitely getting paid to spout nonsense!!

But they all say 'heart healthy'. Is that a lie? I've been eating 3 boxes a day to counteract the mrna in my taco bell meat.

Maybe just start sprinkling a lil Mectin on it. Just at breakfast though. Not at dinner.

I...enjoy some Mectin at dinner, too.

Mectin…more than a breakfast spice.

What world and timeline do we live in that these jokes make sense? Crazyland I tell you!

It's also not remotely cost effective compared with cooking something like oatmeal or beans.

We’ve all had Breakfast for lunch “Brunch” or Breakfast for Supper “Brupper?”.

Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs, fried Potatoes and Toast, YUM!

‘OOPS’ my bad. You’re talking about Cereal, does that include Oatmeal, Cornmeal Mush, Maize or Grits? Hot cereal on a cold day is great and keeps the fires stoked when your working.

I just meant that you can get a pretty good "gruel" using non-GMO oats or cornmeal, cheese and milk, for a fraction of the cost of breakfast cereal, and as a bonus it won't be full of pesticides, herbicides and refined sugar.

exactly. Even just salad would be better!

Expand full comment

Should cereals be eaten with red wine or white wine? Salad or no salad? We don't want to be gauche and order the wrong thing at the restaurant.

Expand full comment

Paging Philip!

I think salad is frowned upon with cereal, due to its inherent nutrition. Makes cereal feel bad for faking it with the fortified stuff.

As for wine...

Pairing suggestions will hopefully be addressed by Mr. Edwards...

lol time again. sorry, highly inappropriate. of course, if someone actually believes this shit, well, sort of to be cruel, they are part of those people looking to be put into the darwin awards book. maybe you're too young? it was an organisation that tracked the many really really stupid ways people accidentally killed themselves. are we entering a mass exodus of darwinian less-thans? wow, this really is incredible.

and for a short endnote: last year mercola published a top university (name forgotten) medical study that included coco-puffs as one of the top 10 healthy foods to consume, above eggs. hmmmm.

Ah yes, I am very familiar with the Darwin Awards.

And I must admit that I've had similar thoughts over the past few years. I won't lie, I've actually said, "hey, maybe the scorpions are onto something..."

Definitely feels that way at times...

At this point it's energy efficient, at least. Meeting those Green Initiatives with the Self Sustaining Cull.

I don't eat this cereal shit! I haven't eaten cereal in years! The so-called healthy cereals are loaded with sugar! Just look at the food pyramid that they push! They told the public to eat more "complex carbohydrates" and make your daily intake more in pasta, bread, rice! Oh whole wheat and multigrain of course, just not white bread and ultra refined bread and wheat foods! Eat less, meat, eggs and fish because that's bad and full of cholesterol! Well the public did what they were told to do, eat more cereal, grains and so-called "complex carbohydrates" and now look where the health state of Americans at today! The obesity rate has increased, especially with children, type 2 diabetes and heart disease has increased! Why??? We the people did what you told us to do "eat more complex carbohydrates" well newsflash people-----all carbohydrates(yes even the healthy whole wheat and multigrain carbs)are broken down into simple sugars after digestion so is it any wonder that type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity in children is at a ridiculous pandemic today! Not to mention gluten intolerance and gluten sensitivity! I don't eat the shit! I eat hardly any wheat products, bread any of it! Especially the shit loaded with sugar! People need to stop eating the shit, get off of wheat and bread, eat lean pasture raised organic meats, eggs and vegetables! Eating alot of bread, starches and carbs throws a person's body on a yoyo cycle with high energy peaks then then bottom out drops making a person's energy bottom out and blood sugar to drop causing a person to get hungry and crave more carbs and sugar! People need to stop eating wheat, breads, carbohydrates, cereal and starches, period, then the obesity rate, especially in children would drop as well as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and many other health problems as well! So get off and stop eating the toxic damn wheat and starches people!

The garbage fed to the public about nutrition is the real disinformation. Sure, whole grains are better than refined grains, but neither are doing anyone any favors in the quantities most people consume. How about nutrient dense whole foods instead? I am an avid athlete and have competed in my chosen sports for a long time. I have experimented, researched, and worked with a dietician in the past (Board certified dietitians are nearly as bad as todays Primary Care Physicians) to gain the knowledge I wanted to make better food choices. The entire SAD (Standard American Diet) is just that. Sad. Of course there is a lot of leeway in putting together a healthy diet, and I am a big believer in different people, body types, blood types, etc. working optimally with different foods. That is a journey people need to figure out on their own. But anyone pushing breakfast cereal as healthy should be in shackles.

Can we talk about how disgusting and non-nutritious cereal is??? Is that why they want everyone to eat it. Other than lining their pockets, I mean. How many more ways can the American public be insulted???😡😡😡

Expand full comment

That's really what it is. They split up the company a couple of years ago. Fake meat failed, nobody is paying $8 a pack for their junk food products and the cereal has been in decline for years. Cereal is the cheapest product they make so they're pushing that to keep the company going because they want to sell the brands off.

I worked for them for a few years. Corn Flakes are a real kernel of corn with the bran removed which is the only nutritious part.
