If fascism showed up for dinner, would you even recognize it?

We learn history as a series of isolated events.

For instance, World War 2 officially commenced on September 1, 1939.

The Civil war began on April 15, 1861.

History classes hit the “high” points in hopes of not repeating mistakes. But what we actually do is prime ourselves to anticipate the next historical event’s arrival to be accompanied by a calvary announcing its commencement.

That’s not how it works.

You do not simply arrive at a situation. There are many steps taken en route. In history class, we may have read about all the trials and tribulations leading up to an event, but in the end we were likely tested on a date. In our minds, this makes something incredibly complex seem simple and obvious. And consciously or unconsciously we believe that we would certainly see, or at least notice, if something like FASCISM began creeping into our society.

Hitler did not lead with, “Hey Jews, hop on these trains and head to the gas chambers.” Nor did he say, “Hey guys, load up your neighbors, it’s time for medical experiments and torture.”

That’s not how it works.

How does it begin?

Is it the government taking over the private sector (DOD contracting with pharma)?

Or mandating an experimental injection?

Or censoring your speech(government colluding with social media)?

Or restricting your movement(vaccine passports)?

Or tracking you(CDC buying your cellular data to track movement during Covid)?

What is the definition of fascism?

If fascism showed up for Thanksgiving dinner would you take a test before you let it in? Or throw on a mask and ask it to stay?

Would you offer to let it teach your children?

Would you indulge its deviant behaviors?

With your children?

Would you allow it to experiment on your children.

What about mutilate them?

Is it OK if it’s for the greater good?

When is censoring speech ok?

When the government tells you it is?

When is the right time to begin taking doctors’/ licenses away for not agreeing with “the science”?

Fascism does not RSVP to your party.

It also does not arrive wearing the same outfit it wore to the last soiree (the mustache is so mid-century).

Nor does it ring the doorbell to alert you of its arrival.

The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREPA), passed by the United States Congress and signed into law by President of the United States George W. Bush in December 2005 (as part of Pub.L. 109–148 (text) (PDF)), is a controversial tort liability shield intended to protect vaccine manufacturers from financial risk in the event of a declared public health emergency. The part of PREPA that actually affords such protection is now codified at 42 U.S.C. § 247d-6d. The act specifically affords to drug makers immunity from actions related to the manufacture, testing, development, distribution, administration and use of medical countermeasures against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear agents of terrorism, epidemics, and pandemics. PREPA strengthens and consolidates the oversight of litigation against pharmaceutical companies under the purview of the secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). PREPA provides $3.8 billion for pandemic influenza preparedness to protect public health in the case of a pandemic disease outbreak.

Vaccine manufacturers lobbied for the legislation, which would effectively preempt state vaccine safety laws in the case of an emergency declaration by HHS, by making clear they would not produce new vaccines unless the legislation was enacted.
